We first met in university, coincidentally both studying the same degree. Introduced by a mutual friend, we hit it off from get go, but it wasn’t until we had to spend two weeks doing an accounting crash course in Mt Gambier, that it all began. He was a funny, charming, intelligent and a very handsome gentleman, something you don’t see often with boys that age. He still opens my doors, walks on the side of traffic and constantly surprises me with the sweetest things. You will see so later on as I constantly brag about the jackpot I very clearly hit, and I am not at all ashamed.
In 2014, I did not receive a birthday present as we were incredibly poor. All the money we earnt was saved to go towards a deposit for our first home. Later on that year, after we recuperated, he surprised me with a trip back to Mt Gambier, for my birthday. Oblivious to the fact that we were going back to the place where it all began, I just thought he was being romantic as usual. We stayed at a gorgeous barn style resort, went out for dinner and then visited a cave in the middle of the city which we used to go to most nights whilst we were studying. This is where he proposed. Everything was magical.Almost one year later, we were married. It was the perfect day. A few months later, our home was finished and we moved in. That was also a perfect day. Since then, I hope to share with you our story, our special days and the most important milestones.
