I absolutely adore the baking corner in my pantry. It was one of the very last additions I made and it has probably been my favourite. Now, I can display all my cute baking stuff which was previously hidden in drawers. I used the Ikea Spice Racks as my book holders and painted them pink. They're $4 each! Then, I added some screws to the shelving so I could hang my measuring cups and utensils right underneath. I am still looking for a spot to add my oven mitts and a few other bits and pieces ... DIY Command Centre
Welcome to the motherboard of the pantry, the command centre. This is where we organise our selves but more importantly, our meals. The command centre features a to-do list, shopping list, calendar and weekly menu. For us, having all this in the pantry works great because we can update the shopping list as we see what we're low on whilst also adding what we need to the list when we do our weekly meal plans. So let's get down to the nitty gritty on how you can create your own! I used four ... Read the Post
Storing Oils, Vinegar and spices
Oils & Vinegar I had purchased a few of these bottles to keep different types of oil and vinegar. They're glass which meant I could write the use-by date on the back in a white board marker and not have to worry about keeping the packaging. I purchased the bottles from Myer and Wheel & Barrow (Maxwell & Williams) but unfortunately, they're no longer stocked. Numerous people have asked me about these bottles but unfortunately I am yet to find an alternative. I designed and printed my ... Read the Post
Home Made Cleaning Products – Recipes
We decided that as of next year (2019), we would try to go a bit more chemical free as part of our new years resolution. I'm actually quite proud of myself because I started early (a month before New Years) and did my research to give us the best chance at achieving the goal. This week, I've been working on making my own cleaning products out of natural cleaners and essential oils. Having the house smell nice (and like chemicals) is a massive motivator for me to clean, so I knew I ... Read the Post
How much did my pantry cost?
I have had an overwhelming response to my pantry with lots of lovely comments and a heap of questions! I have also seen a few comments from people stating that this is a pantry made by someone with a lot of time and money. My entire blog philosophy is aimed an average person so I never want anyone to think any of my work is unattainable. Both my husband and I work pretty demanding full time jobs so time is not really on our side. The entire concept of the pantry was designed with the saying in ... Read the Post
Designing my Walk-in Pantry
I started the design for my walk in pantry about a year before our builder even thought about putting down a foundation. I made lists upon lists of what people keep in a pantry and took photos of the inside of ‘real' pantries everywhere I went because I was determined not to miss anything and not have a spot for it. So let’s just say, I’ve done all the hard work for you! Keep scrolling to see the final plans and scroll even further to see all my scribbles and lists where I was going to store ... Read the Post
