These are the thank-you cards I sent to our guests following our wedding day. I totally forgot about thanking our guests AFTER our wedding and therefore did not incorporate it into our budget. If you’re anything like us, you would have well and truly ran out of wedding money, so I needed a quick and cheap solution to express our gratitude. I personally think these cards were probably my thriftiest idea yet. They essentially cost me postage, printer ink and paper, all of which I already had.
I printed them on regular A4 paper, folded each into three and packaged them in a standard envelope which I decorated. I thought it was the best way to write a thank you to everyone without limiting text to a small card, whilst also sharing some photos from the day with everyone. If you have the patience, you could personalise each page to the guest you’re sending it to, and include photos that you have taken together with them.
Make it yourself:
I have re-created a word version for you to download and customise as you please. There is also an idml file if you prefer to use inDesign.
The file you will receive includes instructions on how to best populate the template, so all you have to do is add in your own images and text. I found it easier to type out my thank you in a seperate document and paste it over as ‘plain text’. This ensured my spelling and paragraph structure was coherent and not interrupted by the layout of the template.
